Cake Project

Sophia asked me to help her with a project for school. Her and a friend wanted to make a temple out of cake. This is Athena's temple the Parthenon. We went with the crumpling look.

Enjoying the quiet of the night. Some wine, my nook and my sweet four legged baby snuggling next to me.

Long Short Week

I totally know how she feels. It was a short week for me but it sure felt long. I am so tired and it's only 9:30.

17 Years

When I think back to the people who made a difference in my life I mostly remember the good. The rides in the Model T car, the "hold on I'll ride along", the handmade picnic table and yard decorations and the many other things that made him Dad.

So we have guys coming on Tuesday to dig out the flower beds. We need to start thinking about re-landscaping. We were at Menards so we started looking at block. I like the red/black one.

An Amazing View

It's an amazing view no matter the weather. Yesterday I woke up to sun and a light breeze. It was beautiful and relaxing. This morning it was drizzly, cloudy and cooler but it was still beautiful.

Peaceful

There is nothing more peaceful than hanging out in Duluth. There is the beauty, the water and the fact that everything isn't rushed.

Packed and Ready to Go!

I have few last minute items to pack but besides that I think I have everything ready to go! Girls Weekend here we come!

8 dozen cookies

2 dozen for my work
2 dozen for his work
2 dozen for girls weekend
2 dozen for home
If I had one more cookie sheet I could have baked them in two batches. Instead I had to do three batches.

I thought I stunned them

These are my irises. They started off as just one bud a couple years ago when I first got them. This year they've expanded by like 10 times! I don't know how many flowers I will get. I may have stunned them pulling them out of the ground and putting them in a pot. I was surprised to see this one open today.

Monday, May 14

I had to thin out my parsley out of my herb pot! It was taking over! I added a bunch to my salad with the stuff I picked up from the farmers market Sunday. I might actually have more than just parsley, thyme and rosemary this year! My oregano and basil seem to be surviving.

Sunday, May 13

It's Mother's Day. Troy called and talked to his mom. I stopped and dropped off my mom's gift and talked to her for a while. We made a trip to home depot and I finished pulling all my flowers out of my flower gardens. I hope they survive!

Saturday, May 12

We spent the day visiting with Kassie. Troy had to reset up her computer for her and install some new software she needed. Afterwards we came home and just relaxed. I have a lot to get done before next weekend but I really needed some downtime. I was suppose to work on my dinner calendar. I haven't done May yet! I need to get back on track now that school is over!

A Good Week

The weather this week has been beautiful. Final grades were posted, I got two As. Sales at work have been great. I'm in a much happier state of mind than I have been in a long time.

Need some music

It's time to update the music on my phone and iPod. Good thing I'm stocked up on gift cards.

I think I have a problem

These are my K-cups for my keurig. I also have 3.5 pounds of coffee for with my French press or coffee maker. I shouldn't run out of coffee any time soon.

Coffee Snob

This makes my fourth way to make coffee. I have my regular coffee pot, 2 different French presses and now a keurig.

I need to multi-tool something

This is my first ever multi-tool. Now I need something to use it on. Oh yea and it was free!

Photo Editing

This is how I spent most of my night... Editing photos. I had a lot less than I thought I would. But now they are done and I can check that off my to do list.

Nope not a good choice but that's what happens with poor planning.

Blue M&Ms

We have a clause in our terms and conditions called the Blue M&M Clause. It states that we can monitor your intake of your consummation of Blue M&Ms. Unfortunately most of the companies that review our T&Cs request for that clause to be removed. This customer's legal team requested it be removed but the techs for the company liked it. After a grueling back and forth review with the legal team we finally closed the deal. Today we got a package in the mail from the tech team. Inside it was a note with Blue M&Ms on it.

I'm done!

I took my last final tonight. Now I just have to wait for my grades to come in.

I started pulling up my flower beds this weekend. We need to re-landscape around the house which means I need to pull out my flowers. I am putting them all in pots so I can replant them later. Hopefully they don't die in the mean time.
